General FAQs

  • At OBDG we sell prom, homecoming, pageant, mother of the occasion, evening wear, little white dresses, and bridesmaids.

  • If you’re looking at formalwear, bridesmaids, or our mothers’ selection we would recommend you book an appointment so you are guaranteed a one on one consultation. No appointment is needed to shop our prom or homecoming dress selection.

  • No, we do not offer any alterations in-house. Although, we do offer local recommendations.

  • Due to the sensitive nature of our gowns we do not allow food or drink other than water in the store.

  • General store sales policies are as follows:

    • All sales are final. No returns, refunds, or exchanges. All deposits are non-refundable and cannot be applied toward another purchase.

    • All special orders require a 60% deposit to be ordered. We do not order items until 60% of the balance has been paid.

    • Remaining balances must be paid within 60 days of purchase. We place special orders on a payment plan with a card on file to be deducted automatically within the 60 days at varying intervals you can choose.

    • Payment plans are required. All payment plan items must be paid-in-full within 60 days. Deposits placed on forfeit payment plan items are nonrefundable.

    • Once special ordered, items cannot be canceled, returned, or refunded.

    • A monthly storage fee of $50 will apply to all items remaining at Occasions by Dress Gallery after 60 days of arrival (or purchased as a layaway). All balances must be paid in full before an item leaves the store.

Prom, Pageant, & Homecoming FAQs

  • We do not accept appointments to shop our prom and homecoming collection. We are walk-in only for these categories.

  • We recommend you book an appointment so you are guaranteed a one on one consultation although it is not required.

  • We offer sizes 00-28 in our prom, pageant, and homecoming selections. Sizing from designer to designer does vary, so please keep that in mind!

  • To take the dress home with you, you must pay in full. However, we do offer a payment plan of 60% down with a card on file. The remaining balance must be paid in full within 60 days.

  • When you see something that you like we recommend visiting us as soon as possible so you can make it yours, as all gowns are first come first serve.

  • We recommend giving yourself ample time to pick from our selection and to get alterations done. Homecoming dresses start to arrive in July and prom/pageant dresses start to arrive in November.

  • Due to the high demand of our dresses, we don’t allow holds.

  • We register all prom dresses to their customer’s school. For homecoming we register gowns with gold tags to the customer’s school. Pageant dresses are also registered to the customer’s respective pageant.

Mother of the Occasion & Eveningwear FAQs

  • Appointments are preferred to ensure that you receive a one on one consultation however walk-ins are also accepted!

  • We offer sizes 0-32 in our formalwear. Sizing from designer to designer does vary.

  • Our typical formalwear dresses usually range from $250-$500. We also have our XO collection that ranges from $159-$199.

  • We will have a stylist there to work hand in hand with you in selecting styles and ensuring the fit of the dresses. You will be in a private fitting room with access to our full stock. Our top priority is making you comfortable and confident!

  • You can purchase any of our dresses off the rack but we also have the ability to order dresses depending on specific style availability. If dress is in stock most dresses take about 2 weeks to order but some designers take up to 5 months. You will also want to allocate time for alterations.

Bridesmaid FAQs

  • Appointments are preferred to ensure that you receive a one on one consultation however walk-ins are accepted. We strongly encourage appointments for larger groups.

  • We offer sizes 0-32 in our bridesmaid collection.

  • Most of our bridesmaid dresses range from $159-$199.

  • In our traditional bridesmaid collection standard shipping is 10 weeks and rush shipping is 5 weeks. If you are on a shorter timeline we also offer our XO collection which shipping typically takes about 2 weeks to order. You can buy any of our bridesmaid dresses off the rack.

  • Our experienced stylist will help you find a color to match your wedding palette and help you and your bridesmaids try on styles!

  • Yes! All the available styles are shown on our website.
